Kierstin is a Juneau-based visual artist and natural science illustrator and graphic designer dedicated to making science approachable for all ages. Her vibrant paintings feature Alaska’s ecosystems: from barnacle-covered rocks to breaching whales. She creates them with the goal of engaging audiences and encouraging curiosity about the world around them. As a local artist in Juneau, she also serves as a vital link to the Alaska community, supporting outreach and public engagement during the potential 2026 first exhibition launch of the collective at the Juneau Arts & Humanities Council. Through her art, Kierstin invites viewers to slow down and look closely, encouraging a sense of wonder and responsibility toward the hidden ecosystems of the seafloor.
